March 9, 2026 - Hermana Kendall Grace Lindsey is set apart as a full time missionary

This weekend has been filled with lots of love and family time. Tata and Katie arrived at around 11 Friday morning. Then Nana Rosie came. She brought some Crumbl cookies for Kendall's open house. Steve, Jenn, and Jose arrived around 2:30. Everyone caught up with each other and then we went and watched Carson run in his Y Timing track meet. Kendall saw her good friend MJ and her mom Abbie. That was a tender mercy for her to be able to see them before she leaves. Saturday afternoon Jayden and Koy and Veronica and Dean arrived. The family then went to our lake house to celebrate Jayden's birthday and college graduation. Sunday morning Kendall gave a beautiful talk about how the Restored Gospel has brought her closer to her Savior. Many friends came to hear her speak. The Thopmpson Family, The Terrell Family, Emily Spears, Jessie Lott, The Nicholas Family, The Bench Family and The Owen Family, along with many of our family friends from the ward. Eli also gave a talk about how the older generation can influence the younger generation. His message was a perfect compliment to Kendall's and Carson blessed the sacarament so reverently. Kendall was set apart by her dad, Matt Lindsey at 1:30 pm. President Van Slooten led a very thoughtful meeting where her parents and grandparents could say how we all felt about who Kendall is and how we think we will see her grow while she is on her mission. We talked about her gifts of loving people no matter what, about how she has always been confident in exactly who she is, and how her love of the gospel and her Savior Jesus Christ is so powerful and evident in how she lives daily. Later that afternoon we had an open house where people could come and give her one last goodbye. Fatima James came along with many neighborhood friends and Audery and Jamie Decker. Many notes were shared with Kendall as well as advice. She is very loved by all that know her.
